At the edge of Niger river in the city of Bamako, women tirelessly brew dye cotton damask fabrics up to 6 meters long. Once dyed, you have to rinse and cook them with starch. Young apprentices soak the cloth in the river and wring out again and again. Finally, they spread the basin on the grass and leave the cloths out to dry in the sun.
